Artist’s Blend is a tribute to the blenders of the late 19th century, individuals who used artistry, creativity and craft to pioneer a spirit that became one of the world’s most famous and desirable drinks.

The combination of flavourful single malt whiskies and delicate single grain whiskies produces one of the most invigorating and pleasurable styles of Scotch whisky.

We drew on archive recipes from the the golden era of whiskymaking
and applied our own 21st century cask maturation techniques to create whiskies with a high single malt content, delivering
compelling flavour and complexity while maintaining the versatility of a Blended Scotch.

Soft, full and fruity on the palate, with flavours of baked apple, vanilla, spices and toasted oak.

Classic Mamie Taylor

A lost classic, the Mamie Taylor is a Scotch whisky cocktail that is super-refreshing, simple and quick to make. Serve this in the warmer weather months, or top it with a splash of Peat Monster in cooler months.

50ml / 1 ¾ oz GKS Artist’s Blend
10ml / ¼ oz lime juice
100ml / 3 ½ oz ginger beer

Pour lime juice into a glass full of ice.
Add whisky and top with good quality, spicy ginger beer. Stir briefly and garnish with a zest of lime.

The penicillin

The Compass Box penicillin is a classic on any list. To create the classic Compass Box penicillin you will need the following four ingredients:

50ml Great King Street Artist's Blend
20ml fresh lemon juice
20ml Honey Ginger Syrup
7.5ml The Peat Monster

Add Great King Street Artist's Blend, lemon juice and honey ginger syrup to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Top with The Peat Monster and garnish with a piece of candied ginger or lemon zest.
