A modern classic. A combination of The Peat Monster and Artist Blend with a spicy honey-ginger syrup and the fresh citrus zing of lemon. A delicate balance, a pleasure to drink. Scroll down for the method.
Add Artist Blend, lemon juice and Honey-Ginger syrup to an ice-filled shaker.
Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Top with The Peat Monster.
Garnish with a piece of candied ginger or a lemon twist.
Serve, and enjoy.
*To make the Honey-Ginger syrup
Take 1 ½ oz (40ml) of honey, 2 tbsp sugar, ½ oz (15ml) of water and 1 large piece of fresh ginger. Stir together the honey, sugar, and water in a small bowl. Run the ginger through a juicer or grate finely and squeeze in a piece of cheesecloth to separate the juice. Add 1 ½ oz (40ml) of ginger juice to the bowl and stir until the sugar and honey dissolve. If necessary, heat the mixture for a few seconds in the microwave to help the sugar dissolve. Allow to cool and store in a refrigerator in a sealed container.
