Innovation
Flavour first. Convention second.
Since 2000, we have made whisky our own way. We work without a distillery, source from over 40 distilleries across Scotland, mature new-make spirit with bespoke cask treatments, and approach blending as a creative art. Sometimes that means doing things no one has done before.
These are some of the whiskies and ideas that broke new ground.
-
Hedonism (2000)
The first whisky to feature a female face on the label (that wasn't part of the royal family), and one of the first to show how elegant aged grain whisky can be.
-
The Spice Tree (2005)
An avant garde method of aging using custom-seasoned French oak staves, in the search for new flavour territories, led to us evolving the technique to produce the first hybrid casks and a wonderfully spice-laden whisky profile.
-
This Is Not A Luxury Whisky (2015)
Inspired by a 1929 surrealist artwork, this is a compelling, lingering, complex Blended Scotch packaged in a style that also poses questions about what it is that makes a luxury whisky a 'luxury'.
-
This is a 10-Year-Old Whisky (2026)
We campaigned for the freedom to share the age and proportion of every component, and we have disclosed our recipes in as much detail as the rules allow ever since.
What's next?
We remain curious, we're still asking questions, and we continue to go further. How do we overdeliver on the next flavour promise? How far can texture and clarity go in one blend? What is the latest consumer trend we should be creating whisky for? The answers become our next whiskies.
