The name Oak Cross comes from our use of both American and French oak in the maturation of this whisky...
A rich, medium-bodied blended malt Scotch whisky, OAK CROSS combines vanilla characters from American oak and spicy, clove-like characters from French oak.
We begin by sourcing whiskies from three single malt distilleries; one for its ethereal fruity character, one for its enchanting perfume and one that lends a complex and substantial structure to the blend.

All are aged in American oak casks before we place a portion into innovative hybrid casks featuring heavily toasted new French oak heads. These give the whisky an added richness and spice-like complexity.
By carefully blending back the French oak-aged whisky with its American oak-aged forebear, we are able to create a refined, rich, but well-mannered malt whisky, with fruity aspects that will remind you of baked apple or pears, complemented by a rich, toasty oak character.
The compelling combination of whiskies which make Oak Cross so special can unfortunately no longer be sourced. Starting in the USA, it will be discontinued from all markets by the end of 2021.

Signature Serve
Holy Cross![]() So very simple, but so deliciously rewarding, our good friend Billy Doyle started making these for us years ago. The floral character of the elderflower liqueur is a perfect foil to the elegant flavours of Oak Cross. 1.7oz / 50ml Oak Cross
Pour 50ml / 1.7 oz of Oak Cross into a mixing glass or tumbler and add three or four ice cubes (the larger the better). Drizzle over a couple of barspoons of St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur and stir lightly. Strain into a Nick & Nora glass, add a lemon peel garnish, and serve. |

Food Pairing Cheese Board![]() A classic cheese whisky, if there ever was one. The elegant flavours of Oak Cross pair so well with a variety of cheeses. We recommend adding a large splash of chilled water to the whisky, to cool it down and dilute it a bit. This helps make the whisky even more versatile with cheese. |
