Cargo! The Quest for Gravity: Friv Overview

In our rich practice, projects happen about which it is very difficult to write seriously and without stupid giggles. Judge for yourself: how to sort through the game, ninety percent of the gameplay of which are a variety of ways to explode small naked dolls? Moreover, the small dolls from such treatment catch a buzz that has to be collected and accumulated, since this same buzz (in the original - fun) is the local currency. Play the best online juegos friv games are presented on this friv mega portal.

Oh yes, there are still mechanical gods, houses flying in the stratosphere, evil penguins and a bunch of fantastic technical devices. Authors of action adventure Cargo! The quest for gravityunobtrusively offer us to hammer along with them a jamb of flying little men, in order, as usual, to postpone the end of the world. Indeed, why not the hemp cloud on which the great Jah sits, become partly virtual hemp?

Officially the project genre is defined as “Action, Adventure”. In fact, we are talking about a complex hybrid of adventure and arcade with a slight admixture of construction strategy. In any case, in the pursuit of shortcuts, we managed to catch just such a strange game. But in general, hang tags on Cargo! perhaps not worth it. A very original little thing turned out at the developers of Ice-pick Lodge .

It all starts with the crash that a ballooning ship suffers when trying to land on an island where buzz (or fun) is made - the only substance that can hold objects on solid ground. In local reality, the world was created by mechanical demiurges, prone to uncontrolled experiments. They started something deities-machines, seriously wrapped. Gravity disappeared on Earth, humanity almost completely disappeared from the face of a wayward planet. Separate, most cunning specimens survived, such as, for example, the main character named Phlox.

The girl is an engineer, the second and last member of the ship's crew. The first member is the strange captain Borkin in an old camisole. The merry company transported valuable cargo commissioned by the very automatic psychedelic coloring gods. When the ship had an accident, the cargo fell into the sea and disappeared. But this does not matter, because the main global goal of our heroes is to return not the load, but the force of gravity. To do this, you need to kick small dolls, crush penguins and generate fun, thanks to which objects and subjects can still be held on the planet. By the way, for units of fun, the creators of the Universe are ready to sell us the necessary things to collect various fantastic vehicles.

And now please raise your hands to those who at least understood something in the Cargo story !. We have a chaotic suspicion that the scriptwriters themselves were not quite aware of what was coming out of their pen, in the sense of the cursor. What the brave company of balloonists does, why mechanical gods needed to hire them, on whose side these deities are on the whole, what kind of relationship they have with gravity - all this is very conditionally clear. Well, or certainly not clear if you want.

The plot of the game is divided into four chapters corresponding to the seasons. And it all starts in the fall. If in the first section the main place of honor is an arcade element, then already starting from the second a true quest background of Cargo appears!

Any of our actions are primarily tied to the amount of “fan” (recall, this is the same as high or fun). For a “fan” you buy components for boats, cars and other small carriers. We also need the substance in order to catch in the stratosphere objects necessary for moving along the plot and to lower them to the Earth.

Accordingly, the lion's share of the game process is somehow dedicated to getting high with the help of small dolls. The easiest and most irrational way is to kick the locals with their feet. They like it. Really. Little naked men experience such a pleasure from the process that after a couple of strokes they literally explode with delight, leaving a decent number of universal currency units in the pockets of the heroine Phlox.

You can still take small friends along with you on all kinds of boat-cars, take part in races arranged by the natives, and also collect notes and violin keys scattered around the island. From these elements melodies are collected that insert no worse than mushrooms. In any case, if you play a musical piece to bobbies, you can get a bunch of fun. Since the plot tasks are quite different from each other, we do not have time to get bored, despite the monotony of the "basic" gameplay.

The fun begins around the middle. We are finally thrown up with serious puzzles such as puzzles with playing the organ (this is a musical instrument, if that), which, as a rule, can be solved with the help of our small friends. Typically, goals can be achieved in several ways, subject to several basic conditions. In addition to the little merry fellow, we will be helped by the transport that Phlox builds itself from improvised material.

And here, unfortunately, a very pleasant and promising undertaking of the developers disappeared in vain. Theoretically, the built-in designer of the technique allows you to create your own driving, flying and floating mechanisms, the configuration of which is limited only by imagination. In practice, it makes no sense to refine ourselves: along the way, we are constantly supplied with rather boring drawings, thanks to which you can build an uninteresting, but quite effective model with one click.

It will not work without transport at all: most of the tasks are carried out with the help of swimming means, cars and aircraft. For example, the invasion of alien penguins, threatening the population of our small humanoid friends, can be dealt with only with the help of a racing car. And to get to the volcanoes that are vital for the onset of spring in the “winter” chapter, a submarine under the original and fresh name “Nautilus” will help.

And all would be fine if managing all this variety of driving, floating and flying scrap metal was at least a little more friendly. Moving on anything other than his two turns into torture. Transport is incredibly slow. The force of inertia is huge and completely does not match the size and estimated mass of the device. Turning the car in the right direction is still a headache. It's a pity, because in general the gameplay in Cargo! varied, pleasant and cheerful, but only if you close your eyes to unsuccessful physics. What is not so simple to do, because we spend the lion's share of playing time at the wheel or at the helm.

But the graphics did not disappoint. This is not just about “realistic 3D” - who can now be surprised with such “refinements”? Although with the three-dimensionality and textures in the game, everything is also in order. However, the abundance of psychedelic "raisins" in visual embodiment seems to us much more important. All three mechanical gods are beautiful in their delusional multi-colored fantasticness. Two-dimensional, as if cut out of paper models of objects in the stratosphere, contrast with the pseudo-realistic style of “earthly” space very funny. And in general, the atmosphere of the “picture” is undeniable: it’s worth a look once and you just want to remember what kind of drink the evening ended yesterday and what was the hookah made. Or was it no longer a hookah?

Finally, the main prize for abnormality can rightfully get an ensemble of three small dolls depicting a solemn orchestra. These guys appear in the most unexpected places (for example, at the bottom of the sea) and provide the heroine with poetic instructions on the topic "what to do next."

Like many projects created in the wake of a good come, Cargo! The Quest for Gravity leaves a mixed impression. Physics requires a file, the plot is so abnormal that it can also be perceived only under substances. But the arcade adventure game has its own face. And “your faces” are not so common to scatter such games.

Pros: originality of the plot idea; peculiar atmosphere; stylish graphics; diverse and fun gameplay.
Cons: unsuccessful physics; excessive complexity of the plot background.
